Hi, I'm Mo. I'm Emirati, I'm a student at UPenn, and I co-founded a startup called ThermaLabs. We're building clothing that keeps people cool while they work in extreme heat.
ThermaLabs
I grew up in the hottest region in the world. I was lucky enough to have AC, but not everyone is, especially the people who work outdoors, and I grew up watching them from the car window. That's who ThermaLabs is for. Right now we're hiring our founding engineering team through the BREEZE Engineering Challenge, and applications close at the end of 6 December 2026.
Aly & Mo
I co-host Aly & Mo, a video podcast where Aly and I take one piece of a professor's research and pull it apart on camera until it makes sense.
Football
Before UPenn I played football. I represented the UAE in the U20 national team and signed for a professional club in the UAE, United FC.
Before ThermaLabs
I built Norro, which Uberized valet parking, and I co-founded AZM, where we ran events that connected students and mentors in less formal settings.
